8 community members released

The six women and two men from Thmor Kol community that were detained in the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 15, we’re released without any charges later the same evening. Reportedly, Phnom Penh governor Kep Chuktema agreed to release the eight if the head of a local NGOs signed paperwork according to which the eight must be available for additional questioning if required and must obey the law. During their detention, the authorities removed the SOS signs and Obama posters from their rooftops.
